Number of Players:

2 – 8 players, aged 4 & up.

Object:

The object of the game is to win the entire pack of cards.

Equipment:

SNAP is played with 52 cards, divided into 13 different picture groups. There are 4 cards having like pictures in each group.

Play:

A player is chosen to deal the cards. This player shumes and deals out the entire pack, one card at a time, keeping the cards face down as he deals. Some players will receive more cards than others except in a two-handed or four-handed game. Each player forms his cards into a pack which he places face down in front of him.

The player to the left of the dealer starts the game by lifting the top card from his pack and placing it, face up on the table in front of him. In doing this, he should turn the card outwards from himself so that all other players may see tho picture on the card at the same time. Play moves clockwise — each player lifting and exposing in turn the top card of his pile.

At any time during the game that a player sees two cards alike turned up on the table he calls “Snap”. The first player to call “Snap” takes all of the cards in the piles which are covered by the like cards. He places these cards face down under his own pack. After a player has used all the cards in his face down pack

Number of Players:

2 – 4 players, aged 4 & up.

Object:

Make the most matching card sets.

The Set Up:

Shuffle and deal six card to everybody. Place the remaining cards in the centre of the table to form the draw pile.

Play:

If you’re left of the dealer, you play first.
If you have a set of four matching cards, you may lay it down nearby.
If you need other cards to complete a set, you may ask another player for the specific cards. For example, if you have two Jay’s you may ask a particular playe for all of his/her Jay’s.
That player must then give you what you’ve asked for.
If you receive the cards you asked for, you may either lay down a set or continue to play by asking another player for cards. As long as you get the cards you ask for, you may keep going.
If the player you asked doesn’t have the cards you requested, he whoudl tell you to ‘Go Fish”
If you’re told to “Go Fish”, draw a card from the draw pile. If it turns out to be the kind you asked for, show it to everyoe and add it to your hand and continue to play by askig another player for specific cards.
If you draw a card that you didn’t aske for, keep it, and your turn is over.
Players take turns and play continues until one player’s hand is gone, or when the draw pile is exhausted.

Winning:

When all of the cards in the draw pile are gonfe, the game is over.
If you’re the player who has collected the most sets of cards, you win!

Number of Players:

2 players, aged 5 & up.

Object:

The objective of the game is to collect the most pairs of cards.

The Set Up:

Lay out the cards face down in rows forming a large rectangle on the table or floor. Make sure the cards are not touching each other. They need to be able to be flipped over without disturbing any cards around them.

Play:

Decide who will go first. Typically it is the youngest player that goes first.
Playing Memory
The first player chooses a card and carefully turns it over. Be sure not to bother the surrounding cards.
The player then selects another card and turns it over. If the two cards are a matching pair for example two Jacks then they take the two cards and start a stack. The player is awarded another turn for making a match and goes again.
If the cards are not a match they are turned back over and it is now the next players turn.
The next player chooses their first card and turns it over. If it is a match for one of the cards the previous player turned over then they try to remember where that matching card was and turn it. If they are successful at making a match they place the cards in their stack and choose another card.
If the first card turned over was not a match for one previously turned over the player selects another card in an attempt of making a pair.
If they are unsuccessful in making a match they flip the cards back over and play is passed to the next player.
A players turn is not over until they are unable to make a matching pair.
The game continues in this fashion until all the cards are played.

Winning:

Once all the cards have been played the player with the most matching pairs is the winner.

Tip:

Just because it is another players turn doesn’t mean you should stop paying attention. The cards that other players flip over could be the match you’re looking for.
